DESIGN COMPARISON
Both the Evoque and the Macan feature a luxurious interior that offers premium materials. However, the Evoque comes standard with leather seats, and the Macan only offers them as an available feature for an additional cost.
The Evoque’s interior is spacious and welcoming. The cabin is able to seat up to five occupants while providing plenty of legroom and headspace for all passengers. The cabin also features versatile seating and can be customized to fit your needs. Because the rear seats fold down in a 40/20/200 split, you can easily customize your passenger and cargo area. With the rear seats folded down flat, the cabin can provide up to 1,383 litres of interior cargo space.
The Macan also offers seating for five occupants. However, the rear seat does not offer as much legroom as the Evoque’s rear seats offer. This means that if an adult is sitting in the back seat of the Macan, there is a good chance that they are going to feel cramped and uncomfortable.
TECHNOLOGY COMPARISON
The Evoque comes standard with an innovative Pivi system. This system includes a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display that provides a newly designed interface. The display also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features. The Macan comes with a large touchscreen infotainment display, however, it only comes with Apple CarPlay and does not offer Android Auto.
The Evoque also offers several other innovative features including a hands-free liftgate, a heads-up display, night vision, cooled rear seats, remote engine start, automatic parking, and cooled rear seats. The Macan does not offer any of these features on any of its trim levels.
PRICE COMPARISON
One of the things that make the Evoque so appealing is its unbelievable price. The Evoque’s base price is around $48,700. As you go up in trim levels, the price increases slightly. The top trim levels cost around $58,300.
The Porsche Macan’s base model is priced at $65,600. The price increases dramatically as you go up the trim levels and finally tops off at $96,500 for the Macan Turbo. That means that there is a $40,000 difference between the top trim levels of these two vehicles. And when you consider the fact that the Evoque’s base model comes with more features than the Macan’s highest trim, there is no denying that the Evoque is the better value.
